The design for Yes Cacao Chocolate stylistically merges period, medicinal labels and turn of the century magic and whimsy. After many discussions with co-owner and creator of Yes Cacao Chocolate, Justin Polgar, the direction for this identity and packaging became clear. Polgar a self-proclaimed alchemist/genie---a sort of Willy Wonka, medicine man wanted to communicate the raw chocolate wonder of his new product. This wasn't just chocolate; it was super-food nutrient, mind-blowing alchemical and medicinal chocolate. We both agreed the turn-of-the-century-take encompassed all of the fun and intrigue the brand should possess, while also serving as a vehicle for injecting hints of child like wonder.
